"Phase the First: The Maiden" from the Tess of the d'Urbervilles series
I'm very excited to launch a new window into my artwork! The journey to get here has taken a while, not least because I was very attached to the beautiful site that my dear friend and studio-mate Lorene Anderson built for me in 2005.
But time moves on, and so does the the digital world - very, very quickly indeed! In the intervening years, it has become imperative to accommodate sharing content via mobile, tablet, laptop and big desktop screens.
Another challenge has been the discovery that a lot of my digital images were too small to render well on larger screens and at higher resolutions. Being a film girl, this was a bit of a shock! In addition, I learned that on a clean template that incorporates a good balance of white space, the background of the artwork could be a real distraction if it had too much going on.
The other necessity has been to incorporate social channels, and as such, there are now links to my favorites in the navigation at the bottom of the page. So welcome to the new site, and thanks for taking a look around!
